Newsgroup Setup for Outlook Express 5.0
News Server Name:
news.outtech.com
Login: “username@news.outtech.com” and use your regular password.
- In Outlook Express, click Tools, then Accounts.
- Under the News tab, click the Add button, then click News.
- For the Display Name, type in any name you wish (This name will appear on all messages you post to a newsgroup).
- Click the Next button.
- Type in your email address (This email address will be seen by others when you post messages).
- Click the Next button.
- For the News (NNTP) Server, type in
news.outtech.com.
- Then, check the box that says “My news server requires me to log on.”
- Click the Next button.
- For the account name, type in your
Outlook
Technologies dial-up username, followed by “@news.outtech.com”
- Then type in your password.
- DO NOT
check Log on using Secure
Password Authentication.
- Click the Next button.
- You have now successfully set up your newsgroup account.
- Click the Finish button.
