1. Configuring Outlook Express to read mail

    1. At the Outlook Express main window select: Tools>Accounts

       

    2. After the Internet Accounts box appears select: Add>Mail

       

    3. When the Internet Connection Wizard>Your Name dialog box opens type your name in the Display name field

       

    4. Click Next > to continue

    5. Put your e-mail address in the Internet E-mail Address dialog box

      (this is your full email address, such as John.Doe@outtech.com )

    6. Click Next > to continue

    7. In the E-mail Server Names  box choose the method of server you are going to use, either IMAP or POP. To review the differences between IMAP and POP mailers click here.

       

    8. Type your Incoming mail (IMAP or POP3) and Outgoing server:
      mail.outtech.com

       

    9. The Internet Mail Logon dialog box is requesting your account information; this information consists of your Account name which is your complete email address and your password. 
      DO NOT        Check Log on using SEcure Password Authentication.

       

      Click Next > to continue

    10. Click Finish to complete.
